Ok will do, it’s almost like it gets too hot and just closes out but I don’t think a brand new Mac Pro wld be getting too hot.
Also, Is there a way to “copy/paste” in Dpro? Like if I have 10 cues in my cue list that I want to repeat later in the cue list, is there a way to highlight them and paste them in later rather than having to manually…[Read more]
after talking with you about D-Pro quitting unexpectedly, I went and bought a brand new MacBook Pro. I figured it was time anyway since the old one is a 2009 model. I have been programming the lights to my trax and as of last night (my 4th song), dpro has started to close unexpectedly again. I have used this computer for nothing but this…[Read more]
that all makes sense. If I were point all lasers vertically so that they stay perpendicular to the crowds view, wldnt that guarantee they stay safe as far as hitting people or camera? I run fairly smaller shows usually like clubs and festivals but I love laser lights and have wanted to get a couple for a long time, I just haven’t kn…[Read more]
I watched your recent videos about lasers. I have been wanting to add a couple lasers to my setup for quite a while now but I don’t know enough about them. Was glad to learn about the variance that I need to get. I don’t care so much for shapes and pictures etc, but I would like something that can flatten out a wide beam as well as the…[Read more]
im afraid I’m just very ignorant on this stuff because that still doesn’t make any sense to me. My final cue (blackout) is long but how does that last cue have anything to do with my previous cue not delaying the effects? Example, when the cue comes around, the movers will move to position and then pause for a second or two before star…[Read more]
Hey JP! I’m not sure I fully understand your second response. I tried to create a cue where my movers can-can and I planned to only run that cue long enough for them to tilt up once but they don’t start right away so I either have to start the cue too soon (which is noticeable with my pars) or my movers are delayed bc they’re still trying to get…[Read more]
thank you for this. So I would need to transfer all the files to the backup machine in advance, but then plug my USB key into the backup machine to be able to access/run those files. Is that correct? Also, you said I’m the first person to ever try to do this. I just want my lights and trax to run simultaneously. Is there a better wa…[Read more]
This is why I’m asking the questions haha. It makes perfect sense to just have a separate cue list for each song and idk why something like that didn’t cross my mind.
For my backup computer that I will have at my shows… how can I save this show to the usb dongle so that I still have it ready to go when I plug it into the other computer? I trie…[Read more]
so I went ahead and got a new MacBook Pro and have been getting D-pro set back up on it. I think it can do things that I don’t know about and I’d like to make sure I’m doing it right from the beginning. I plan to program lights to about 60 tracks, which obviously will take a lot of time. Is there a way to have each saved show more…[Read more]
I guess I’m gonna have an issue every single step of the way. I started programming a test cue list to one of the trax and it is working as expected… until I plug the aux cable into the headphone jack of the MacBook so that I can run the audio through my sound board. When I plug it in, all audio stops. When I unplug the aux cord, t…[Read more]
Ok I will look at doing it that way then. As far as designing my light show, can we set up a short call sometime where I can ask a few questions while sitting with the software so I can get it to do what I want in the easiest way possible? I think I would probably do extra steps like I did when creating my fixture and your easier way worked…[Read more]
That’s what I was thinking. I do only use this MacBook Pro for my music stuff but it is a 2009 model. I just run trax from files in iTunes and D-pro on it. If I have my drummer dwnld dpro on his computer, can I design a light show to these tracks and then plug the usb single into his computer and still have everything I just programmed? B…[Read more]
I do have one more question though. Sometimes I can be programming and D-pro will just close out completely. Since I am wanting to run this for my trax and lights while onstage, what can I do to prevent this from happening. It hasn’t happened a lot but if you’re doing a big show, I’m sure it would be a huge deal if this happened in the middl…[Read more]
