I had an issue at a gig where the Lightshark got unplugged and upon plugging it back in, I couldn’t find its wireless network. Even after multiple reboots, it took 10 minutes to get it back online. That said, I’d like to setup a backup wireless network. Can I plug in a separate wireless router via the Lightshark Ethernet and operate via that net…[Read more]
I noticed that the Lightshark has been removed from Blizzard’s website. Does anyone have any details on why?
I also found out that the LED gooseneck lamp accessory has been discontinued. Are they replacing it with a new one or what is going on with that? Do you know of a good alternative?
It seems like the FX engine is a bit better than Lightshark’s, but the software might be similar in bugginess. I’m not familiar enough with Chamsys’…[Read more]
I hope they add this type of support. The more I play around with the current console/software, the more I feel like it is still half-baked. It’s just not up to the task of handling modern light fixtures, the programmability is pretty simplistic, and the FX engine doesn’t provide enough user control, either. Do you happen to know what is com…[Read more]
The video doesn’t get into how duelist work with executor buttons, other than to say you can save them as a button or fader. I tried setting a button with multiple cues in it and it only executes the first one on the list. Is there a setting that I need to use to tell the button to move through the cuelist?
Is there a way to setup an executor button with multiple cues that trigger the next cue when you press the executor button?
For instance, in Puntastical, you mention setting up a punt page with 2 movement cues on each movement executor button. Another example is I’d like to setup a button that turns the prism effect on and then back…[Read more]
As I create various cue lists, I keep running into instances where lights from my previous cue lists continue doing what they were doing instead of beginning the new cue list clean. Is there a setting I should be using to ensure the new cue list is beginning “fresh”?
I’m contemplating how to setup a set of cues or executors (in LightShark) to create a strobe build-up to prepare the crowd for a EDM-style drop. I plan to use my moving heads and/or pixel-type lights to handle the strobe effect, vs actual separate strobe lights, to enable the strobe in various colors. Any tips on how to create this type…[Read more]
Thanks. Not sure why I couldn’t find that video last night. I looked for it before positing in the lightshark action plan.
I’ll send my show file when I get home. It’s happening with the fixtures I created and fixtures I didn’t create.
I’m still trying to get the hang of the Lightshark. Something I keep running into and haven’t yet figured out is how to pull back up and edit a cue/scene once I’ve saved it and hit clear. Sometimes I want to review a chase in action, but then want to go modify a single cue/scene from the current settings or add additional lights to it.…[Read more]
Awesome – I have the Pixellicious lights setup and have the chase I want on an executor button, so that’s one problem solved. Is there a way to step through a cuelist to see each look when it’s not associated with a fader or executor button?
Next question: Is there a way to combine cuelists I’ve setup? For instance, I have a chase I like with one…[Read more]
I have several questions related to the Lightshark that I’m hoping for some assistance with:
Also, any tips for creating the basic movements given I won’t be able to see the lights pointed out? Are there certain percentages you use for each look? I can certainly try something, remember the values and then hit clear, just wo…[Read more]
I’m attempting to create the movement palettes you suggest (https://learnstagelightinglabs.com/course/groups-and-palettes/) for my Intimidator LED Spot 250s. The thing I’m not sure I’m doing right is setting only the pan or tilt so that the lights will be set from any position without flipping around and looking goofy. How do I tell the…[Read more]
